JONATHAN STONE
From Imagining to Managing
I am currently working on a new performance involving a sequence of several songs for voice, imaginary languages and guitar called the 'There is No Normal to Get Back to' Suite. This involves looking at the neurology of practice and the establishing of new neural pathways in older and disabled performers as I relearn guitar, piano and singing.
I have also collaborated musically in other situations - I have composed music for Ralf Ralf, Hot Mouth, Dinner, Dance Umbrella and other theatre and dance companies in UK and internationally. I am currently listening to older digital recordings and converting them to live performance for voice and various instruments. I am always interested in collaborating on different and unusual musical projects.
and the use of rhythms of breath, and inventing possible pop songs and folk music.
I teach workshops in rhythm, collaboration and physical and vocal improvisation.
